1. ELIGIBILITY
Participation in the official NÉA TÉCHNI Award competition is open only to individuals aged 18 years or older. Current employees of the award and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply. Participation in the Event as an artist is void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
2. ARTISTS
The competition is open to individual artists (Solo Artists) or groups of collaborating artists (each a Collaborative Artist, together forming a Collaborative Group). These rules apply equally to solo artists and all collaborating artists, where applicable.
3. SALES
Artists may choose to indicate that their submitted works are for sale. Visitors will be able to see whether a work is available for purchase. Pricing, payment, and transfer of ownership—including the transfer of listings—are arranged solely between the artist and the visitor/buyer.
All sales are voluntary. The Award is not involved in the sales process beyond indicating whether a work is for sale and providing artist contact details. The Award does not charge commissions, does not restrict sales during the event, and does not claim to represent the artist.
4. AWARD RIGHTS
The Award reserves the right to use any information, images, and documentation related to the Artist in connection with participation in the competition. This use may include, but is not limited to: the Award’s official website, press releases, promotional materials, exhibition materials, catalogues, maps, guides, installations, and other promotional activities related to the Award or Event, including text, audio, and visual representations.
5. Winner Selection Process
All submitted works will be reviewed by a professional jury of at least three (3) art professionals, selected for their experience in contemporary art practice, curation, criticism, or related fields. Jury members will be announced prior to the final selection stage.
The selection process is based on artistic quality, originality, conceptual strength, and relevance to the award categories. Jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
